Harbor Pavilion

A harbor-edge pavilion for Copenhagen housing a restaurant, market hall, and public observation deck overlooking the Oresund strait.

The Harbor Pavilion is simultaneously a working building and a piece of public infrastructure. The building is constructed primarily from weathered steel and glass. The steel structure is left exposed throughout, its connections detailed with a precision that rewards close inspection. A wide public staircase on the harbor facade serves as both access to the upper levels and informal seating for the waterfront promenade below.
